The SH-1 is a very heavy sledgehammer designed to forge and form metal. The round face is small relative to the rest of the hammer, allowing you to observe your work better while forming it. Use the cross peen end to spread metal easily. All Fretz hammers are renowned for their quality, beauty, and comfort. Fretz casts their hammer heads from 420 stainless steel and tool hardens them to 50 HRC. The handles are made from oiled hardwood shaped and weighted to balance the head perfectly. Made in Vietnam.
