Tapered rolls are particularly useful on jobs with channels, fillets, and irregular concave contours. When the roll is held at a 45° angle to the work, it can really reach into angles and corners. When the angle is reduced, greater abrasive surface is used, resulting in faster cutting action. Made of resin-bonded aluminum oxide cloth. The same self-renewing feature of straight cartridge rolls is present in tapered rolls. And the same automatic fabrication techniques ensure that every tapered roll is tightly and uniformly wound, producing a balanced tool that maintains a true center, with no whipping or wobble at high speeds.
These are 3/8" in diameter at the widest part and are 1-1/2" in length.
Has a 1/8" arbor hole (AH) so use with A6 (1/8" shank) or A10 (1/4" shank) mandrels for Abrasive Cartridge Rolls. (sold separately).
